Securities and Donor Advised Funds
Sometimes the easiest and most beneficial way to make a donation is from funds you already have set aside. There are a number of ways to donate to the Franklin Food Pantry from your brokerage accounts.
Donate appreciated stock, bond or mutual fund shares. Please seek guidance from your financial professional and contact our Development Director or send us an email at donations@franklinfoodpantry.org for securities transfer information.
Donate through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) which offers the flexibility to easily support your favorite charities.
DAF Direct – Donate from your Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon account. If you have an account through another financial institution, please contact them directly to make a donation.
Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA instead of taking your required minimum annual distribution. If you are 70.5 years old, you can transfer up to $105,000 from your IRA directly to the charitable organization of your choice, tax-free. Contact your financial institution to initiate a QCD or learn more.
The Franklin Food Pantry is a 501©(3) and contributions are eligible for a tax deduction. Please check with your tax advisor for other potential tax implications or benefits.
